- Well, this Xmas, the Playstation is likely to be 249 or even 199 UK pounds (no
- games). That means the A1200 would have to be cut in price by up to 50% to
- compet, and at 199, the A1200 will LOSE against something like a Playstation if
- it`s games we`re talking about - especially the pathetic articles in the magic
- pack. The average PC will have come down in price by up to 30% as well, so
- Pentiums will cost the same as DXx`s at the moment. The Amiga price policy is
- essentially moving backwards and AT now have risk enraging folks who bought
- their A1200 recently by slashing huge amounts of cash off the A1200 price. If
- they don`t then they can expect UK sales to slow down even further as people
- with sense seriously consider a more cost effective alternative for their all
- round needs, be it Playstation+PC/Mac or something else.
